Barbara completed her professional qualifications in 1980 and has since gained over three decades of experience in public practice. She became a partner in Miller Johnson (formerly known as Oborn & Johnson) in 1994, and is now the sole director.Barbara is a Mentor and a Public Practitioner under the rules of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants. She was the president of the Northcote Rotary Club for the 2010-11 year, and continues her involvement through the youth exchange programme for Rotary International.Barbara is also experienced at facing challenges outside of the office. In November 2013 she walked the Routeburn Track, which is the fourth Great Walk she has completed – her goal being to walk all nine by the end of this decade.
After completing her studies at Auckland University, Alex started work for Miller Johnson in July 2005. Alex has recently completed her CA qualification and is also doing her Masters in Tax. When asked what she enjoys most about her work, Alex responds, “I really enjoy helping with the tricky situations. It’s great to see people come through them and get ahead.

Isabella joined Miller Johnson at the beginning of 2015. With a strong background in Customer Service and Humanities, she is enjoying assisting the team and the personal approach and atmosphere at Miller Johnson.
Taylor started work at Miller Johnson as our receptionist. Accounting appealed to her and she quickly moved to a trainee accountant role. She has recently completed her Bachelor of Business Studies at AUT, and has begun studying toward her CA qualification.
